Bonnefanten will present a film installation and performances by melanie bonajo (they/them) in a special pop-up exhibition pavilion at Cultura Nova. bonajo, born in 1978 in Heerlen, has a unique position within contemporary visual art. They have developed into a rebellious artist who works in, and between, different disciplines, including photography, video, installations, publications, performance and music. bonajo stands out for their anarchic streak and their energetic ability to constantly escape social conventions.

  • Boundary Boss: Consent and boundary workshop
    12:00 - 14:30, location: Bonnefanten Pop-up museum / tent

    Knowing what we want and dont want and being able to communicate this, is the key to safety, play and pleasure. This doesn't come naturally, it's a set of skills that we have to learn and practice throughout life. Let's explore together and practice while failing and laughing.

    This workshop includes partner practices and we engage the body to experience what it feels to be in consent and how it feels on the edge of consent. We take time to reflect and learn how to communicate our desires and what might stand in the way for clear communication.

  • Drag Energy
    16:30 - 18:30, location: Bonnefanten Pop-up museum / outside the tent

    Drag Energy is a way to embody your most fabulous self, let's get wild and unleash the beauty within darling! This enriching practice is for everyone of all ages, abilities, generders, race and reason because we can all do with some more joy and connection, to ourselves and to build community. Participants are invited to meditate, warmup and catwalk with passion in groups and solo while celebrating and uplifting each other. This workshop will build confidence and creativity through play and self expression.

  • Queer Cuddle Workshop: Getting High on Your Own Hormones

This workshop is centered around the power of touch, with a focus on the beauty and pleasure of our bodies as our awesome vehicle to experience.

  • Movement through the elements
    12:00 - 14:00, location: Bonnefanten Pop-up museum / tent

    A movement practice through the elements including touch instructions inspired by air, water, fire and earth. Together we practice different touch skills while we let our body float with the weather.

  • The pleasure positive closing ceremony
    14:30 - 16:30, location: Bonnefanten Pop-up museum / tent

    We gather in the power of transformation and connect to the wisdom living our bodies. We invite everyone to manifest wishes and dreams for the wellbeing of every-body, the collective body and the planet. This ceremony will include sequences of sharings, movement through the elements and feeling into our hearts inviting our emotions. Collectively we are casting a spell into the future.
