During the Nederlandse Dansdagen 2021, from September 30 to October 7, various activities will be organized in the Bonnefanten.

OFFprojects is a collective of former dancers of NDT and Batsheva Ensemble, gathered around the work of choreographer and musician Amos Ben-Tal. The company is known for seamlessly merging dance with other disciplines such as music, text and image.

In Interval OFFprojects collaborate with acclaimed interdisciplinary artist Gosse de Kort. Together they explore the space in-between dance and architecture. The project brings the subtle movement language of Ben-Tal in interaction with a hypnotic kinetic installation by de Kort. Interval invites us to contemplate space as a social, mental and emotional resource.

The theater-premiere of Interval will be on 15 October in Den Haag, but especially for NDD the makers present a unique choreographic-installation version of the piece. For several days Interval will occupy the meditative space of the iconic ‘chapel’ of the Bonnefantenmuseum.

The kinetic installation is available to visit any time during museum opening hours 11:00-17:00.
Short dancer-interventions will occur daily at 12:00, 13:00, 15:00 and 16:00.

For those wanting to dive deeper, context activities will be held every day at 14:00 in the museum’s downstairs auditorium:

  • 1/10: lecture by Katía Truijen (Het Nieuwe Instituut) - The space in-between dance and architecture
  • 2/10: artist-talk with Gosse de Kort and Amos Ben-Tal
  • 3/10: workshop with Amos Ben-Tal - Watching with our body (no prior experience required)
  • 5/10: workshop with Amos Ben-Tal - Watching with our body (no prior experience required)
  • 6/10: artist-talk with Gosse de Kort and Amos Ben-Tal

All activities are 45 minutes long. Audiences can choose to visit the installation+intervention either before or after these activities.
