The Derailment of the Usual is a group exhibition of works by Paul Devens, Lis Rhodes and Heba Y. Amin. Exploitation from the beginning of the industrial age in Maastricht is made audible in a new sound installation by Devens.

The exhibition aims to raise awareness of the way in which architecture, sound and technology influence our experience and perception, as well as politically defining our society. The artworks challenge us to look and listen with an open mind to the things we usually take no notice of.

Guest curators: Paul Devens in collaboration with Eline Kersten
