  • On 14 November, a magical solo exhibition by the French artist Laure Prouvost (Croix, 1978) opens at the Bonnefanten.

Prouvost became world-famous for her enchanting installations, for which she was awarded the Turner Prize in 2013. Deep See Blue Surrounding You / Vois Ce Bleu Profond Te Fondre is an exhibition that immerses visitors in a dream world that invites you to go on a quest for things that connect us, despite our differences, our age, our language or our origins.

The exhibition is based on the presentation that Prouvost made for the 2019 Venice Biennale. In the Bonnefanten, Prouvost transforms the presentation into a new, site-specific immersive artwork. Emancipation, globalisation and climate change are important themes in her oeuvre. Expect spaces with immersive installations, in which she combines various art forms, such as glass, woven carpets, epoxy and video.
