No other exhibition allows you to touch, listen, climb, talk and craft so much! All curious, non-adults of 6 years and up are welcome at INSIDE OUT.
From the dreamy inner world of a child to the big outside world of an adolescent. Go through the developmental stages of a child at INSIDE OUT, the exhibition for all curious non-adults of 6 years and up. You'll do and see things you wouldn't normally expect to see in a museum.

Inside ...
You take your first steps in the room-filling installation Ethereality by artist Morena Bamberger as if you’re seeing the world for the first time. Wonder and notice that you are getting to know yourself better and better, just like your environment. Further on, you see crooked walls coming towards you. This setting looks a bit different from what you might be used to.

Outside ...
Your world is getting larger. Stuff takes up an increasingly important place. You walk into a work of art made of boxes. Mathilde ter Heijne's Life Inside Storage shows the contrast between the need for your own place with personal belongings and the high price that people and the environment have to pay for this.

INSIDE OUT mostly features artworks from our own collection, such as Otobong Nkanga, Tanja Ritterbex, Mathilde Ter Heijne, Philippe Coclers and the Polling ceramics collection. Alongside our own collection, the exhibition shows loans by Morena Bamberger and Joëlle Dubois.
