On 5 December we organize the finissage of the exhibition 'that's where the beauty is.' by the American artist Margaret Kilgallen. A festive closing where you can immerse yourself in the graffiti and skate world of Margaret Kilgallen. During the finissage all exhibitions can be visited.

During the finissage all exhibitions can be visited. Participation is free upon presentation of a valid museum ticket. When participating, a corona access ticket and control check via app, paper version or vaccination certificate with proof of identity apply.

  • Skating in the museum: show your best trick! | Stadsnomade Maastricht

    Ever wanted to skate in a museum? This is your chance! In collaboration with Stadsnomade Maastricht, a custom-made skate ramp is being built in the dome (Cupola) of the Bonnefanten. Show your best tricks during the contest and have a chance to win a limited edition skateboard deck from Toy Machine - Artwork: Margaret Kilgallen.

  • Make your own mural | Amsterdam Signpainters

    At the Amsterdam Signpainters workshop you paint your own large vintage letter on a panel. Amsterdam Signpainters, in collaboration with Jeff Canham, provided the life-size hand-painted murals in the exhibition that's where the beauty is.

  • Screen print a totebag | Textielklas.nl

    Philo Mertens of the Textielklas will give a workshop on screen printing this day. You don't have to bring your own totebag, these are already available!

  • Sticker Tattoo | YOUNG OFFICE

    Get a unique Kilgallen-like sticker tattoo. Meanwhile you can also enjoy the Banjo music of Matokie Slaughter.

  • Sit back and relax at documentary Beautiful Losers

    Want to recover from all the impressions? Kick back in one of the relaxing beach chairs while watching the documentary Beautiful Losers. A film that gives an insight into the careers and artworks of a group of Do-It-Yourself artists and the subcultures of skateboarding, surfing, punk, hip-hop and graffiti, as a reflection of their lifestyle.
