Neutelings Collection
This private collection, put together mainly in the 1970's and early 1980's by Willem Neutelings (1916 –1986), was given to the Bonnefantenmuseum on permanent loan in 1996.
The more than hundred mediaeval objects can be classified under different parts of the collection: domestic altars, altarpiece fragments and wooden statues from the Southern Netherlands (Antwerp, Brussels and Mechelen), among other places, sandstone, alabaster and marble sculptures and reliefs, and ivory and copper objects mainly from France, England, Germany and the Maas region.
