M2LIVE weekend
With the highly successful youth event M2LIVE, an event for and by young people, with an average of 4,500 visitors from all people aged 12 to 25 and with the participation and contributions from students of lower secondary professional education till students of the Gymnasium (= grammar school with classical languages) and ROCs and the university; the museum shows its sense of topicality.
This event aims to achieve a more open and interested attitude within the wide world of art and design culture from youngsters towards museums. M2LIVE thus helps young people with a curious mind to determine their place in the world and their identity, to get to know their self-image, to enhance their self-esteem and to develop their "cultural wisdom".
The event has already achieved a special status and can boast a lot of interest, including (far) outside the province. The coming years, when it is to the museum, the M2LIVE-art profile will continue to crystallize further and the borders will be wide open to participation of young people from across the Euregion.
