Collaboration with private collectors
Recently, the museum has been able to draw on the Jeanne and Charles Vandenhove Collection. This married couple gave in 2007 their collection of around 300 modern and contemporary works on long-term loan.
The Neutelings Collection includes hundreds of objects made of ivory, enamel, alabaster and bronze originating from French, English and Flemish workshops (between 1200 and 1500). This private collection, put together mainly in the 1970's and early 1980's by Willem Neutelings (1916 –1986), was given to the Bonnefantenmuseum on permanent loan in 1996.
