You will need a valid proof of identity to become an Art Loan Service client. You will be charged a fixed, annual contribution. The subscription amount will be debited to your bank or giro account by direct debit every month. A subscription remains valid indefinitely, with a notice period of one month. All works of art have been insured by the Bonnefanten Museum Art Loan Service. The client will only be held liable for damage due to negligence. An excess as laid down in the rules of procedure applies. Broken glass will always be passed on at cost price. Because the transportation of the works requires great care, handy plastic covers are available from the Art Loan Service at a small charge.

Some tips to prevent damage: 

• Framed works should always be picked up by the picture frame wire 
• when transporting several paintings at once, works should always be placed in the vehicle with their frames face to face.
• Avoid moisture damage; works behind glass should only be cleaned using a slightly damp cloth.
